Woodley Festival – Vocal and Piano Solo Classes

Dear Parent,

We would like to enter your son/daughter for one or more of the piano or singing classes in the Woodley Festival of Music and Arts which will be held at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley, RG5 4JZ.  We believe this will be a very useful and enjoyable experience in which each competitor will receive a certificate in addition to verbal and written feedback from an adjudicator.  Successful candidates will also be awarded with medals for first, second and third place.

The piano classes will be held on Friday, 10th  March (evening only), Saturday, 11th and Sunday, 12th March,  Friday, 17th March (evening only), Saturday 18th and Sunday, 19th March and the singing classes are on Saturday, 18th March (with a few classes possibly on Sunday, 5th March or Sunday, 19th March).  Your son/daughter would only be required to attend for their class, not for the whole day.  The fee for each class is £7 for the piano classes (£9 for grade 3 and above) and £9 for the vocal classes.

Your son/daughter will be required to wear school uniform and will need transport to and from the event which will be held outside school teaching hours.  Parents, families and friends are most welcome, for a small fee, to attend any of the classes in the Festival.

Please could you reply to by no later than Monday 9th January to indicate your consent?

Payment of fees is not required at this stage as this will be charged on the End of Term Account.

With many thanks.

Kind regards

Mr Richard Gobs
Assistant Director of Music
